The video shows a Polyurethane Plant used in Offshore, and as you probably know, this calls for reliability, high quality, and accuracy. This is the reason why companies worldwide turn to Eilersen load cells - when working with the Eilersen load cells, every customer enjoy the benefits of easy electrical and mechanical installation.
Eilersen load cells are based on a capacitive measuring principle, which means that Eilersen load cells can handle up to 1.000% overload (depending on the load cell capacity) and the load cells tolerate very high sideloads, and torsion. This is an important cost and maintenance saver in demanding applications such as offshore installations.
As for electrical installation, the Eilersen digital load cells feature true plug-and-play installation, as the load cells are supplied pre-calibrated. This is an important feature in high capacity applications where it is difficult to find calibration weights, which saves a tremendous amount of time during commissioning.
Also, it’s worth noting that the load cell cable length has no influence on the calibration. Furthermore, the load cells can be equipped with cable lengths of up to 100 meters and the load cell cable can be changed on-site if necessary. For offshore and oil and gas applications it is also important to note that the Eilersen load cells can optionally be supplied with Mud resistant and Halogen free cables.
Because the complete measurement chain is digital, the digital RS485 signal from the load cells not only eliminates the need for weighing amplifiers but also eliminates drift and inaccuracy found in analog electronics. Additionally, the digital signal from the Eilersen digital load cells is insensitive to EMC.
Eilersen load cells can be supplied in ATEX versions for installation in zone 1, 2, 21, and 22.
The weighing systems supplied to CTM Equipment Ltd are equipped with Profibus DP interface to the control systems for full visibility and diagnostic for each individual load cell. Other available interfaces are PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, RS485, 4-20mA and 0-10Vdc.
